Shari Cantor, LPT, M.PT | Shari Cantor received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL and her BS from Emory University in Atlanta. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Women's Health Section. Shari currently works at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in the Outpatient Department with patients who have a wide variety of diagnoses. She was an All-American swimmer in college. |
Sara Collamore, MS | Sara Collamore graduated from Ithaca College with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998. She worked as a rotating physical therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital for two years. While in New York, Sara also worked backstage at Broadway theaters for Performing Arts Physical Therapy. In 2000, Dr. Collamore relocated to Massachusetts and accepted a position in the outpatient department of Massachusetts General Hospital. She obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in 2004. Dr. Collamore has pursued continuing education in manual therapy of the cervical and lumbopelvic spine as well as Pilates. Her primary patient population includes those with spinal disorders. |
Sherie M. Edwards, DPT | Sherie Edwards received her clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Prior to this she obtained her masters in 1999 from the MGH IHP. She joined MGH Outpatient Physical Therapy Services in 1999. Sherie has experience treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, with expertise treating shoulder dysfunctions and is a member of the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists. |
William Egan, MPT, OCS | Mr. Egan is a physical therapist, treating patients with orthopedic and sports injuries at SOAR Physical Therapy in Sea Girt, NJ. Before joining civilian practice, he served for six years as an active-duty physical therapist in the Army Medical Specialist Corps. In 2002, Mr. Egan was board certified in orthopedics by the American Physical Therapy Association. He earned a master's degree in physical therapy from Baylor University, and a BA in psychology from Rutgers University. |
Lois Farrell, MSPT, LATC | Ms. Farrell is a senior staff therapist and certified athletic trainer at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Her specialty is in the area of orthopedics and sports medicine. She is currently an athletic trainer for the US Soccer national teams, and was the head athletic trainer for a women's professional soccer team, the Boston Breakers. |
Steven J. Fleck, PhD | Dr. Fleck is chairman and professor of sports science at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is the former physiology program chairman of the U.S. Olympic Committee's Athletic Performance Division. An exercise physiologist, Dr. Fleck is internationally known for research in resistance training, overtraining, and sports supplements. He is the author of more than 100 articles, book chapters, and books on sports science. A fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Dr. Fleck has also served as an officer of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, which honored him by awarding him the Sports Scientist of the Year in 1991 and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. He serves as an adviser to several publications and fitness companies. |
Paul Glynn, DPT, OCS | Dr. Glynn is a clinical specialist in orthopaedics at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He has worked for more than seven years in numerous capacities in the area of outpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation. Dr. Glynn graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in 1995 with a BS in exercise physiology and a minor in psychology. He earned his MS in physical therapy in 1997. In 2001, Paul completed a certificate of advanced studies in orthopaedics from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and went on to become a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics in 2002. Jane Gruber, DPT, MS, OCS | Dr. Gruber is the rehabilitation services manager at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She is an APTA board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and office training coordinator for the Colonials Synchronized Figure Skating Team. Jane also is a member of the US Figure Skating Association. Dr Gruber earned a BS in physical therapy at Russell Sage College. She continued her education at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, where she earned an MS and doctorate in physical therapy. |

Gayle E. Olson, MS-LATC, PES | Ms. Olson is a certified athletic trainer with more than 25 years experience working with athletes of all levels from high school and college to Olympic competitors. She earned a BA in health education and physical education from Gustavus Adolphus College. Ms. Olson earned an MS in physical education with a specialization in sports medicine from Indiana University. Ms. Olson recently completed the performance enhancement specialist program with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is employed by Newton-Wellesley Hospital as coordinator of employee fitness and wellness and manager of the Shipley Fitness Center. |

Debra Shaw-Davis DPT, MS, OCS | Debra Shaw-Davis received her BS in Zoology from Iowa State University in 1976 and a Certificate in Physical Therapy from Mayo Clinic in 1978. She completed her post-graduate work at the Institute of Health Professions, Boston, MA with an advanced masters in orthopedic and sports in 1995 and a doctors in physical therapy in 2003. Her thesis work was on patellofemoral dysfunction. She has her board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Dr. Shaw-Davis is a senior physical therapist at Massachusetts General Hospital in outpatient orthopedics. She has worked as a lab instructor at the Institute of Health Professions at both the graduate and post-graduate level. |

He also completed a research fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, funded by the National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research.
